I am so pleased to be the principal for Mary, Queen of Heaven School. I have eighteen years of experience in education as a classroom teacher. I am very happy to be beginning my career as an administrator in this wonderful community. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Thomas More College and my Masters degree from Northern Kentucky University. Most recently, I completed my coursework for Administrative Licensure in Education through Xavier University. I am a native of Northern Kentucky, and live in Villa Hills with my husband, Joel, and our four children.

I am very blessed to be the Pastor of Mary, Queen of Heaven Parish and School.  I have lived my whole life in Erlanger, Kentucky except for the six years I attended seminary.  My path to the priesthood was a bit different than most priests – I worked for 15 years as an Internal Revenue Service agent before I heard God’s call and discovered my true vocation.  By God’s grace, I was ordained a priest in 2010 and was assigned to Mary, Queen of Heaven.  Being a priest has brought me more joy than I would have ever imagined possible.  In my spare time I enjoy sports (I’m a huge Reds and Bengals fan), music, movies, and reading.

I attended St. Pius Elementary School, Notre Dame Academy, and Eastern Kentucky University, briefly, with interests in Theatre and Social Work. My husband John and I have 2 sons, a Sophomore at St Henry District High School, and a Freshman at Holy Cross High School, and a daughter, a 1st grader at Mary, Queen of Heaven School, and are members of St Pius parish. After 9 years as a clerical in law offices, I became a stay at home mom, watching babies in my home, caring for elderly in their homes, and working at Behle Street by Sheli. For many years, I longed for a school secretary position, and am beyond blessed and excited to have been given the opportunity to be the Administrative Assistant for Mary, Queen of Heaven!

6th-8th Religion & Social Studies m.patti@mqhschool.com
(859) 371-8100 - Extension 23

I have been with Mary, Queen of Heaven School since 2005. Prior to that my experience in teaching was at the high school level. I believe that it is my role to prepare the junior high students for the rigors of high school, and I work diligently towards that goal. While I enjoy shining a new light on American history, my favorite topics to teach in Social Studies are ancient civilizations. In Religion I enjoy Church History and New Testament studies, but my preferred area of study would be Old Testament.

I am so happy to be working at Mary, Queen of Heaven School!  I taught first grade at MQH for 25 years.  I soon found  that we have  a wonderful school, students, parents, faculty, and clergy!             As I was anticipating retirement, I couldn’t imagine what life would be like without MQH School.

Well, God provided the answer!  I was welcomed as an instructional aide for the classrooms. For the last two years I have worked with students in the classroom to provide instructional help that was needed by some students.  I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment working with them!

I sincerely hope that when my time here at MQH has ended, God will say, “Well done, good and faithful servant!”
